The Retirement and Savings Institute (RSI) and the Global Risk Institute (GRI) are pleased to announce the funding award recipients of our research partnership. In fall 2023, we issued a call for proposals for international and Canadian academic researchers on topics related to pensions, household financial wellness, and retirement.

The selection committee evaluated many high-quality submissions and chose the following three proposals:

• Christine Laudenbach (Goethe University, Leibniz Institute for Financial Research SAFE), Florian Hett, Lea Weigand and Markus Eyting (Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz)
  “The impact of unintended discrimination in financial advice on wealth accumulation”

• Olivia S. Mitchell (The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania) and Abigail Hurwitz (Hebrew University of Jerusalem)
  “How Longevity and Health Information Shapes Financial Advice”

• Todd Morris (University of Queensland) and Benoit Dostie (HEC Montréal)
  “The labour market impacts of employer-pension plans” (also available as an RSI working paper)

These research proposals received financial support from the GRI-RSI partnership.
