The RSI is pleased to announce the appointment of Henri-Paul Rousseau as adjunct professor. His tremendous expertise in the world of business as well as in academia will be put to valuable use in the research activities of the institute, and at the same time contribute to the RSI’s reach and the development of its ties with the business community.

Holding a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Western Ontario, he began his teaching career at UQAM and continued at Université Laval, where he was the director of the Department of Economics. He subsequently held several strategic positions, notably at the National Bank of Canada, the Laurentian Bank, the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, and with Power Corporation of Canada. We was a visiting professor at the Paris School of Economics until recently.

His contribution as an economist and committed citizen has been widely recognized, notably by being awarded honorary doctorates by Sherbrooke, Laval, Lumière Lyon 2 (France) and Concordia universities, and by being elected Great Montrealer, by the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal.
